tugging at my mailbox

I did something stupid today.

Saw my chic denim rocker tunic in my mailbox downstairs. YAY! But I have no key to my mailbox. Because I have been online shopping too much these days (Dad was damn horrified after he saw my bank statement. really horrified.), I think it’s better if I sneak it out through that flat rectangle hole of the mailbox, and save myself from more interrogation and naggings.

As if it could be sneak out that easily. It isn’t a flat piece of envelope/letter.

I probably spent 15mins tugging and pulling that package under the curious looks of onlookers. By the time it was out, the package was tattered and torn, like some poor animal being preyed on by a hungry carnivore.

nvm. as long as my tunic is safe ^-^

Ok people, I need some advice.

I think I’m on crack or something, and I have no idea where this crazy idea come from. I suddenly have this crazy urge (call that midnight craving) to join a manga translation group. Yes, do Japanese -> English translation, and maybe Chinese -> English. I have more confidence in the latter anyway, god. 30% of me thinks that I’m doing this for the greater good. 60% of me amusingly believes that I will improve my translation skills if I do this on a regular basis (and of course improve my lousy English and maybe, Japanese?) That final 10% of me is probably just bored, and want to keep my shoppaholic mind off, yea you know it, online shopping, (meaning NO CAMPING for BonitoChico launches and end up spending yet again.)

I’m planning to do translations for shojo manga cuz they’re full of secks (I LIKE, LOL. ok kidding) and they’re usually much much easier to translate than stupid gundam shit. Okay, they’re not stupid, but they’re just full of technical terms. I’m planning to start with ‘Oresama teacher’ ‘course I have the original manga for it and it’s damn funny. ME LIKE. I will definitely face criticisms and bitchings but those are part-and parcel of life. I can take it. (Interview failures are worse. Haven faced them. Never want to face them, ever. BUT, I will obviously face them soon.)

Oh, I did not forget about stupid essay deadlines. I will still do the above if I remember…after exams.

Excerpt 1

I am something like a business otaku. Even at night when I’m sleeping, I think of work. It’s like a disease. To the average man, I undestand that this is difficult to imitate. However, people like me, is necessary in my company.”

Excerpt 2
その 堅固さを土台にして、ちょっと遅れはしましたけれど、楽天は世界に進出していきます」 “Rakuten’s business model is unlike a simple model, that of, for example, Google and Amazon.I establish an internet shopping mall and recruit stall owners. Although it is certain that the increase in stall owners is connected with the growth of Rakuten, I did not anticipate this growth. At first we only helped stall owners with the purchasing and installing of computers from Akiba. In this computerized present, our spirit remains the same. We do not stop after the setting up of the store, we, together with the stall owners, continue to think about how to increase our proceeds. For that, we began to provide the knowhow of setting up a homepage, and the construction of all kinds of detailed services. Due to this, the strong bonds formed between the various stalls and Rakuten, are what made up the business model of Rakuten. No doubt the truth is that this is troublesome (alot of work) and like other internet businesses, it is difficult to expand explosively into the world. But once you take root in this area, it becomes extremely firm. With this firmness as a foundation, even though it’s alittle late, Rakuten will advance towards the international realm.”

They’re from my recent project. And they’re rough and unpolished.

So, what’s your take?
